Anchor In, located at 187 Atlantic Avenue, has been owned by the same family since its original construction. Originally built in 1939, our family beach house is situated on the north end of Pawleys Island, on the second row. In 2005-2006 Anchor In underwent an extensive renovation. The additions include a new upstairs level, screened porches and open decks, a new kitchen, and new bathrooms. While the house now features many modern updates and additions (including central heat and air-conditioning, and ceiling fans throughout), the original knotty-pine paneled heart of the house has been retained and provides the nostalgic feel of an old-style island home. Anchor In provides all the comfort and convenience a vacationer could want. Our family beach house features: On the ground level A delightful enclosed outdoor shower, and spacious covered parking. A few steps from the house is the private two-decker traditional wooden dock on the tidal creek, with shared use by two family houses.
